^ I've only ever left the country through school trips or exchanges. And they've only been to Italy and France, too. Well, take what you get, I guess. Oh, but I've also been to Czech Republic. For refueling, since gasoline is cheaper over there. :I

Can't say that I've ever left the country either, and who knows when I ever will. xD;

I've only left NY in form of vacation. Trust me, NY is boring--visiting is fun, living here isn't special.

Obviously the answer is that we should hop on a plane right now, and travel the world. >__>

"The world" is no good, though, is it? Because, you know, if you go to tropic countries you'll catch dangerous diseases and such... :I Also, countries with high criminal activity wouldn't be my first choice, either... and neither would I like poisonous snakes or spiders or huge animals that can eat me... ;n;

This world is pretty boring, ha ha. But we can make it fun if we put our minds to it, am I right or am I wrong?

yukitoki; Welcome to the forum~! I've been to a few places, namely France and the USA. I loved France so much, hoping to visit Paris over the summer too.

What state did you visit when you went to the United States? I went to New York! I stayed in New Jersey for a few days as well, and wherever Cape May is. I have a lot of relatives over in that part of the US so I'd love to visit again. It's just a general chat thread~!

Ah, France is such a weird place~ It's like everyone is rich and has nothing better to do than spend their money on Apple products and expensive furniture or something. °3° And they're pretty chaotic, although not unfriendly or anything. A bit too friendly, even. And because of that, they appreciate you trying to speak French, even though you know that you totally suck at it. Which really hurt my ego back then. :< ... I don't know if I personally would want to go there again. These people are just so much... over my head or something? But about the US... I really wanna go there! But it's so far away and stuff. >3< I was thinking about doing Au Pair stuff when I'm done with school. I want to go through with that. Yet I don't know if that'll be any good or not. :<

Seems like most people find where they live boring.
I think part of reason I like Asia so much and wanna visit, is because all of their cultures are so different from ours (America). -w-

I live totally out in the sticks. Half an hour to get anywhere fun, more than an hour drive until the next proper city, man. Just... cows and pigs and chicken (though finding stray ones in our kitchen is really funny). And the biggest social gathering around here is the curch service on Sunday. Don't get me wrong, though. The quiet and the pretty scenery are really worth it. But the long distances are the biggest issue, really.
... "Nothing to do" is an understatement. I guess I'm not a shut-in by choice, per say.

Hahaha, I feel the same way. I'm not out in the country, but a lot of the places close to me where I used to hang out are closed down now. They keep shutting things down with plans to revamp this area, but then the revamps never happen. So I spend a lot of time at home too.

I'm like 40 minutes from any big city as well but there is a lot to do there. But yeah, I understand the feeling of wanting to do more but living too far away. There are no anime stores anywhere in a 4 hour range of me. >_>

I've got an anime store that's right next to an Asian supermarket here, and as cool as that is.. it's just far enough away, through an area with crazy traffic, that I don't often go. @__@
